Jaye Ho is an identical twin, born in Oxford in 1980 to Singaporean and Malaysian parents. She lives and works in Hastings and London.
Jaye studied at Central Saint Martins (BA Fine Art 2003) and The Slade (MFA Fine Art 2006), has exhibited nationally (including London, Hastings, Brighton) and internationally (including Dublin, Krakow, Sydney).
‘The Vanishing Act’ was an Arts Council England (ACE) funded project which resulted in an exhibition at ONCA gallery Brighton in 2020. This series was selected for the 2023 Mosaic Art Award which Jaye won first prize, hosted by Hauser and Wirth London. In 2023 Jaye was awarded Develop Your Creative Practice ACE funding to learn how to use extended reality as an art medium, and an exhibition at Electro Studio Project Space in February 2024.
Other shows include ‘Babes in Arms’ at De La Warr Pavilion (2022), Nigel Cooke’s ‘Telescope’ show at the Jerwood Gallery (2019), and ‘Dazzleship NN201’ (2017) where Jaye painted a Hastings fishing boat in Dazzleship camouflage.
Jaye also works for the UK Foreign, Development and Commonwealth Office on human rights and conflict-related policy.
